I often get asked for my thoughts on the economy and specifically how the slow down has affected our business. It’s a question that everyone has been forced to answer as we are all an interdependent ecosystem – we sell solutions to companies who sell to other companies who sell to other companies, and so on.
There is no doubt that, as a result of this slow down, everyone has been forced to look in the mirror and face the consequences of how well they have maintained their “corporate physique”. This is a time for every organization to get on the tread mill and work hard to improve our strength and endurance. It’s impossible to train for the race during the race and when (not if…) the economic climate heats back up we will again be racing as fast as we can.
We are seeing smart companies use this down time to optimize and right-size antiquated and obsolete processes, upgrade their systems and their teams and really get ready to come out of the blocks screaming. Only then will they leave their competition in the dust (if their competition even shows up to the next big race….)
We love working with companies that want to be market leaders and recognize that excellence is a fine blend of People, Processes and Performance.
